silent night

Happy birthday Christ! To celebrate your teachings we're going to eat like little pigs and buy all kinds of useless gadgets to each other. Yippee!! Seriously speaking, we're probably just going to listen to some good ol' Hellhammer and drink lukewarm kossu in a cold sauna.

But after the holidays there's going to be some serious live action. That's a promise. We have a couple of cool gigs planned, and a set full of new numbers.

Mr Florida/On Fire (Live)

Neo2 feature

Like I mentioned earlier, Mesmer was featured in an article called "Helsinki Rocks", which was sort of an introduction to Helsinki-based bands sharing a taste for leftfield indie rock. The article was published in Spanish Neo2 magazine.

Yövissy

Miki from Mesmer contributed a song to a rather outré compilation called "Siikahan Se Siellä - A Tribute to Kahen Kilon Siika" which is a humorous homage to a  peculiar Youtube-video that  illustrates the famous Finnish weirdness in a marvellous way. The compilation was released by 267 lattajjaa, which is a Helsinki-based label renowned by releasing material from acts such as Avarus, Uton, and Hush Arbors to name a few.

Miki's track is released under the pseudonymn Yövissy. The mastering process of the song was cut short, but who cares about the sound quality, right??

You may purchase your copy directly from the label: http://www.saunalahti.fi/~hhaahti/267lattajjaa/ltj-100.htm.

activities

Hi y'all,

this blog is going to be an archive concerning things we've done as well as a platform to promote up-and-coming events and releases.

First of all, I think you'll need a short briefing to bring you up to date. We've had a little break in the past few months. There hasn't been any gigs, interviews (except a short interview in Spanish Neo2 magazine) or other activity related to public drunkenness and general misbehaviour. Mostly we've just been writing new stuff. And now we're rehearsing that stuff for a new live set. So be prepared.

The other piece of news is that our bassist Teemu has stepped aside for the time being. So we're now a four piece band.
