Thanks for everybody who showed up on our gigs this past weekend. The sound was downright awful on both nights but that's just the usual outcome of not having our own engineer. I just can't help but wonder why the undoubtedly professional mixing dude at Klubi thought that we should sound like blatantly overcompressed Pantera locked in a hall of slushy reverb?

To put the whining aside, there's also some good news to share. Svart Records is releasing our 7" single in early 2012. But more of that later.

Mesmer is teaming up with The New Tigers and On Volcano! The dates are:

Friday 18.11. (w/ The New Tigers) at Klubi, Turku
Saturday 19.11. (w/ On Volcano) at Semifinal, Helsinki

We're playing a couple of new songs from our forthcoming 7" EP, that is still in the works.

studio sessions coming

The past couple of weeks have been busy time for us. We've been messing with new material and trying to reinvent ourselves soundwise. The results will be heard before the end of the year. It's way too early to go into details, but there's a new Mesmer release coming, that's for sure.

Next week we're going to lay down some tracks at Stereotype studio in Helsinki. We'll let you know how it turns out.
